See you at
The Jefferson
The Jefferson has become one of our favorite places to spend time together, whether for a glass of wine, rainy day meal, or an evening with friends that lingers a little longer than expected. From the Beaux-Arts lobby (modeled after Thomas Jefferson’s Rotunda at the University of Virginia) to a final drink at the iconic orange resin bar in Quill, the hotel feels carefully composed, defined by warm light, symmetry, and historic artifacts layered throughout its halls. Though recognized with two Michelin Keys, what keeps us returning is how naturally every evening there unfolds.
Most notably, The Jefferson’s Madeira Bar was designed as a museum to old Madeira, a fortified wine tied closely to early American history. Home to one of the country’s largest and oldest Madeira collections, the space feels less like a bar and more like a continuation of a tradition associated with President Jefferson himself (and a favorite of Miller’s).
Food at The Jefferson is treated as part of the architecture of the evening. Executive Chef Fabio Salvatore’s Mediterranean and Coastal Italian influences shape seasonal menus where each course builds naturally on the last.
The Jefferson reflects much of what we value in our life in Washington together: hospitality that feels like home, intimate moments with the people we cherish, and a city shaped by history and character. We can’t wait to share it with all of you!
